Tetragonia rosea flowers

The flowers of Tetragonia rosea are pink or magenta in lighter and darker shades. There are four narrow, oblong and fleshy segments that spread widely and taper to pointed or rounded tips. The flowers are not as inconspicuous as those of some Tetragonia species, mostly bearing small yellow flowers. 

A cluster of pinkish stamens with yellow anthers are erect in the centre.

Flowering happens from late autumn to early spring. The photo was taken in August. The fruits are winged (Manning, 2007; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iSpot).
