    The long-tubed, trumpet-shaped flower of Watsonia vanderspuyae is red in colour. The tepals are fairly narrow, their tips acutely pointed.

    Dark anthers and small, pale stigma branches protrude from the centre of the perianth. Each of the three stigma branches forks near its end.

    Flowering happens in spring (Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
