    The leaves of this vygie called Trichodiadema barbatum have fine crystal-like cells on the green or yellowish leaf surface. The leaf has a cylindric to elongated egg-shape and a distinctive little bristle of hairs at the leaf apex.

    The branches are erect, although in some cases may be procumbent. The flowers appear in spring and are pink to light purple.
