At the top of its corolla the Wiborgia tenuifolia flower has a large white or pale purple banner petal with rounded margin flexed back and a narrow claw. There are narrow wing petals usually curving sideways from the keel that is rigid and pointed below. The clawed wing petals are here slightly longer than or as long as the keel.
The joined stamens reveal protruding anthers in one of the flowers. The anthers are unequal in flowers of Wiborgia. There is a stalked ovary with few ovules. The W. tenuifolia flower is about 6 mm long (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010; Manning and Goldblatt, 1997; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
