The purplish, flat Wiborgia tenuifolia fruit is winged, not fully visible here but the style persists on the tip. The rigid, membranous-looking fruit surface is purplish but varying in colour, covered in a whitish bloom.
The hairy calyx is still firmly in position (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010; Manning and Goldblatt, 1997; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
