A spike of Tritoniopsis parviflora buds emerging into flower and seen roughly in profile, allows inspection of the unequal pair of maroon-tipped bracts holding the base of each flower.

The flowers are spaced and ascend outwardly angled, the lower ones leading proceedings by disclosing green anthers on down-curved filaments below the upper tepal. This photo was taken in Bainskloof during October.

The open flower low in the photo shows its three stamens arching down under the dorsal tepal. The thicker, greenish style here emerging from the side of the corolla ends in flat-lobed stigma branches (Manning, 2007; Leistner, (Ed.), 2000; iNaturalist).
