The now dry perianths of yesterdays flowers envelop the Trachyandra falcata fruit capsules as shields at this stage in developmental proceedings. The perianth segments exceed the bulging capsules in length, cohering in their final stage as nearly perfect cover. The about cylindrical fruits are three-locular. about 1,2 cm long, initially green and hairless.

The pale grey-green to pinkish pedicels are long, smooth and cylindrical, thickening to their tops. They ascend closely around the central flower stalk.

At the base of the pedicels the brown bracts that once covered the perianth buds are still present, now also dry and appearing small (Manning, 2007).
