Brachycorythis pubescens is hairy

Brachycorythis pubescens flowers are slightly hairy or softly downy on the outer surfaces of the corolla segments.

In picture the colourful parts of the flower (if white is not considered that), are the outside tips of the median sepal and the two lateral petals at the top, darkened to brownish purple.

Contrasting yellow colouring is seen at the lip base where some blackish spots spread downwards. The large white part of the lip may present a faint purplish sheen as here.

Erect, pale green floral bracts ascend among the twisted green ovaries behind the corollas. They attenuate to narrowly acute tips covered in soft hairiness and displaying visible midribs (Pooley, 1998; Lowrey and Wright, 1987).
