The flowers of Babiana namaquensis are large, about 5 cm in diameter. The funnel-shaped, two-lipped flower with out-curling tepal tips is presented at an angle close to the ground.

The upper tepals in picture are pale purple, longitudinally lined, variably shaded darker, particularly in a faint central band in the lower parts, the margins whitish. The lower tepals are paler to white, as or more recurved than the upper ones with defined, lower central markings in brownish yellow and blue-purple. The lateral (lower) pair is similarly marked, the median one darker.

Three flat, oblong anthers, dull blue-grey with white tips cohere roughly with the branched style near the dorsal tepal, maybe half its length (Williamson, 2010; iNaturalist).
