This vigorously growing B. paleacea shrub shows many erect stems surpassing the cream-coloured inflorescence that is often seen right on top of the plant.
The ascending, narrowly triangular leaves are slightly hairy, curving, in with tips against the stems, a neatly regular arrangement appear like overlapping roof tiles. On the thin upper stems in picture the leaves hide their stems from sight completely. Leaf length is from 3 mm to 6 mm.
