The two almost opposite and sessile (stalkless) leaves of Disperis anthoceros are borne about halfway up the erect flowering stem. They are broadly ovate, tapering to acutely pointed tips and rounded or heart-shaped at the base. Vein lines are visible upon the hairless leaves (www.orchidspecies.com; www.zimbabweflora.co.zw).
