Disperis virginalis buds still twisting

Disperis virginalis buds are here seen orientated at different angles during the resupination process. The buds next to and immediately below the open flower on the plant in the foreground have completed their 180?  twists, their dorsal sepals being at the top like that of the open flower. Two younger buds on dark, twisting ovaries face each other, halfway through the curious contortion needed to present their faces to the world, in accordance with the conventions of their species.

The stalk of the flower spike is as dark as or darker than the ovaries in picture. The dark green, somewhat ragged leaves show their sub-opposite stem clasping and a wavy lobe margin near the leaf base.

The five flowers in this inflorescence is more than what is typically seen on one stem (www.zimbabweflora.co.zw; www.orchidspecies.com).
