Numerous pale pink to pink-purple Drosanthemum prostratum flowers grow solitary or in clusters from stem-tips and leaf axils. The long, erect stalks are sparsely covered in longish, pale hairs.
The petals spread in one whorl around the flower centre. They are narrow, oblanceolate and often about round-tipped. Many stamens in a loose cluster spread over the flower centre. The translucent filaments bear narrowly oblong, whitish anthers.
Flowering happens late in winter and early in spring. The photo was taken in September. Flowers close at night (Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
