The tweekleurporseleinbos (bicolour porcelain bush), as Drosanthemum bicolor is commonly known in Afrikaans, produces daisy-like flowers with maroon, red-tipped petals, yellow on the basal parts. The flowers become 3 cm in diameter.

Flowering happens from before midspring to early summer.

The succulent leaves on the multiple erect branches have conspicuously shiny cells that glitter like dew, characteristic of the genus (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; www.plantzafrica.com).
