Drimia convallarioides, commonly known as the sedge squill and previously scientifically as Rhadamanthus convallarioides, is a bulbous perennial reaching heights from 8 cm to 25 cm when in flower.

The numerous fleshy leaves are strap-shaped, growing from the base and spreading on the ground, usually dry when the plant flowers.

The species distribution is in the southwest of the Northern Cape around Nieuwoudtville to the northwest of the Western Cape around Clanwilliam.

The habitat is sandy and often stony flats and slopes in scrub. The habitat population is deemed of least concern early in the twenty first century (Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist; https://www.botanicalrealm.com; http://redlist.sanbi.org).
