The Disa stricta flowers are pink, lilac or blue, the lip darker than the other tepals. The lip is flat and round-tipped, protruding forward between the lateral sepals positioned slightly lower. The white above may belong to the lateral petals that flank the column inside the dorsal sepal (the hood or galea) or are the sides of the hood itself.
There are pointed spur-like tips on the lateral sepals called apiculi. The spur is behind the flower emerging horizontally or oriented slightly upwards from the dorsal sepal (Pooley, 1998; iNaturalist; https://www.pacificbulbsociety.org).
