    The small flowers of Disa patula var. transvaalensis are white and pale pink, densely arranged around its sturdy, erect stalk. The petals have purple spots on their inside surfaces.

    The median sepal forms a somewhat rectangular, narrow hood with vertical sides and a slight opening below. The other two sepals below are straight, angled outwards with lobed tips. The bracts among the flowers are slightly longer than the ovaries.

    The blooming season is middle to late summer (Germishuizen and Fabian, 1982; www.zimbabweflora.co.zw).
