    The spurs of Disa zuluensis flowers are long and cylindrical. Each angles outwards in its own direction, bending downwards conspicuously just before halfway down its length.

    The upper part of the spur is dark or flower coloured and spotted as the dorsal sepal from which it grows, while its tip is pale green, slightly translucent and swollen.

    The bracts are pale cream with vein lines in their lower parts, dark brown and withered near their tips. Yellow pollinia are visible in a flower centre (www.orchidspecies.com).
