    The pale, cylindrical spur of a Disa bifida flower projects from the back of the dorsal sepal in an almost straight to slightly upturned orientation. It tapers slightly near its base in a narrow cone-shape, the tip rounded. The spur becomes 10 mm to 13 mm long and 1 mm to 2 mm wide (Liltved and Johnson, 2012; Leistner, (Ed.), 2000; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984).
