The leaves of Delosperma carolinense grow in small ground-level tufts or nearly erect rosettes on short branches.
They are narrowly lance-shaped to inversely so, the widest part nearer the tip than the base and tapering to acutely pointed tips. The succulent blades are thickish, concave on top, unevenly green, smooth and slightly incurving. The margins are entire, the leaf colour in picture paler near the margins (Smith, et al, 1998; iNaturalist).
