Several erect flower clusters may be produced above the leaves of a Delosperma leendertziae plant. The spreading plant grows few flowers in small, loose inflorescences at stem-tips. The reddish stems may be faintly hairy. The five sepals are succulent and pointed, appearing in two different shapes.

The thickly succulent, curving leaves are narrowly oblong, dark green with shallow channelling on their upper surfaces (Smith, et al, 1998; Van Wyk and Malan, 1997; iNaturalist).
