Short pedicels are visible below both bud and open flower of the Delosperma lavisiae plant in picture. The pedicels are paler than the leaves barring the oldest ones.
The sepal lobes seem to have shrivelled below the nearly erect petals of the more or less open flower. The petal tips have slight whiteness, similar to what is seen when they first burst through the parting sepals (Smith, et al, 2017; Smith, et al, 1998; iNaturalist).
