Delosperma peersii, in Afrikaans called skaapvygie (sheep fig) as are several of the commonly browsed delospermas, is a rounded shrublet reaching heights to about 50 cm.

The species distribution is in the east of the Western Cape and the west of the Eastern Cape; the Little Karoo and the Karoo from Oudtshoorn to Willowmore.

The species grows on lower slopes in loam soils among small shrubs and stones. The species is not considered to be threatened in its habitat early in the twenty first century (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Smith, et al, 1998; iNaturalist; http://redlist.sanbi.org).
