Dimorphotheca sinuata or the well-known Namaqualand daisy is always an important member of the Namaqualand flowering spectacle of August and September for the many ecotourists. They are on show in the veld here south of Langebaan, far from their well-known home.

These daisies have travelled further to many gardens far from Namaqualand on the reputation of their orange and yellow floor show. On close inspection of the flower the thin, greenish mauve ring at the base of the petals is spotted (www.plantzafrica.com).
