This Protea mundii bush has flowered well by May, delivering numerous heads at roughly the same height. A couple of white to greenish cream flowerheads are still open, the later heads and buds slightly taller than the withered ones.

There was some branching in the bush a season ago, but all the heads are now presented at the tips of straight, unbranched stems.

The species also flowers pink (Manning, 2007; Coates Palgrave, 2002; Rebelo, 1995; Rourke, 1980; iNaturalist).
