Erica lanata or commonly wool heath has white, woolly flowers, brown in the centres from anthers and styles prominently exserted. The shrubs are seen in moist fynbos on slopes of the Langkloof and the coastal area to the south. These small flower clusters are seen at stem-tips during the plant’s long blooming season.
There is more on this plant in the Erica Album (Moriarty, 1997; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist; JSTOR).
