Moraea inclinata, the common blue moraea or the nodding wild moraea, is a cormous perennial of grassland, also of the KwaZulu-Natal Drakensberg at elevations up to 2400 m.

The leaf that grows from the upper stem is longer than the inflorescence. It is rounded with margins rolled in. The usually branched stem grows at an angle, or is inclined as the name says (Manning, 2009; Leistner, (Ed.), 2000; Pooley, 1998).
