The Huernia namaquensis flower centre viewed from the top shows the wide, circular and shallow chamber, housing the two coronas in its base. The opening to the chamber in the whitish corolla, covered in fleshy, protruding papillae, is narrower than the chamber itself.
The five maroon lobes of the outer corona, each with two rounded tips, spread on the floor of the chamber. The five dull yellow, finger-like lobes of the inner corona curve in over the anthers, their tips surrounding the staminal column (White and Sloane, 1937).
