The flowers of Huttonaea fimbriata grow in a terminal (stem-tip) inflorescence, lax and erect. From six to twenty flowers are borne. Flower diameter is about 1 cm.

The plant grows two stem leaves that are heart-shaped. The lower leaf is stalked and 6 cm long, the upper one smaller and stalkless.

Flowering happens in late spring and summer (Pooley, 1998; www.orchidspecies.com).
