    The short-stalked Heliophila arenaria fruit pods are still green and shiny in picture. The thin, long, nearly cylindrical pods or siliquae appear slightly beaded from pod constrictions between the fruits inside. Thread-like pods with less constriction are also seen.

    The leaves are here simple, long and narrow. They are hairy on some plants and may also be lobed. There don’t appear to be stipules in the photo (Manning, 2007; Le Roux, et al, 2005; Manning and Goldblatt, 1997; iNaturalist).
