    Hibiscus pusillus flower variations include this creamy yellow petalled flower with blood red eye at the corolla base. This plant was photographed in the Lowveld, while the others shown here were seen in the Langkloof at Joubertina.

    The yellow anthers around the column form a compact structure below the five style branches ending in deep maroon stigma discs.

    The visitor sits with colourful, folded wings, admiring the menu before tucking in.
