Helichrysum populifolium inflorescence

Large, branched and flattish inflorescences of Helichrysum populifolium may be seen from late summer through autumn and shortly after bloomtime. They grow here above, but close to and spreading over the leaves. The photo was taken in June when much of it had turned pale brown, the flowering about over (Pooley, 1998; iNaturalist; http://pza.sanbi.org).
