    The stem, leaf petiole and flower pedicel of Hemimeris racemosa are all purplish and hairy. They vary in thickness and the angularity of their shapes.

    The ovate leaves have shallow toothing along their (uneaten) margins, unevenly pointed to negligibly scalloped. Long internodes occur between the clusters of leaves and flowers.

    The photo was taken in Namaqualand, west of Springbok during August (Manning, 2009; Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010).
