Heteromorpha arborescens var. abyssinica red young leaves

A fresh Heteromorpha arborescens var. abyssinica stem-tip may have red and shiny young leaves. At the end of the season the autumn leaves become yellow or red as well.

The plant grows easily from seed and is available from some nurseries (Coates Palgrave, 2002; Pooley, 1993).
