Hermannia lavandulifolia new leaves, old flowers

The Hermannia lavandulifolia leaves in picture are in better shape than the dangling, dead flowers.

There are long, thread-like, floral bracts resembling reduced leaves curving below each flower. They are now turning yellow as their flowers no longer need them (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
