    The yellow flowers of Leobordea divaricata resemble pea flowers, being part of the Fabaceae family. They grow solitary or in small groups from the axils of upper leaves.

    The pointed-lobed, green calyces are at least as long as the somewhat boat-shaped keel petals. The wing petals flanking the keel of each flower are longer than the keel. The rounded banner petals are biggest, folded down the centre (Van Wyk and Malan, 1997; iNaturalist; https://tropical.theferns.info).
