    The alternate leaves of Cleome angustifolia subsp. petersiana are digitately divided into three to thirteen thread-like, glaucous (blue-green) leaflets. The long stalks of the spider-like leaves in the photo appear thicker than the spreading leaflets. A small whitish spot is present at the leaf base from where the leaflets fan out.

    Angustifolia (Latin) means narrow leaves (Manning, 2009; Blundell, 1992; Germishuizen and Fabian, 1982; iSpot).
