With different floral stages of Oscularia cedarbergensis present, the five succulent sepals dominate wherever a flower is not open. The leaf-like sepals are not quite equal, their pointed tips usually red, converging in buds and spreading in open and old flowers.
The fruit capsules have between four and seven locules with covering membranes but no closing bodies (Smith, et al, 1998; iNaturalist; https://www.randomharvest.co.za).
