The opposite, simple, succulent leaves of Zeuktophyllum suppositum are paired, erect and partly fused at the base. The generic name, Zeuktophyllum, is derived from the Greek words zeuktos meaning joined or yoked in pairs and phyllon meaning leaf, referring to the joined leaf-pairs.

The three-angled, tapering blades are deeply keeled, smooth, sometimes slightly rounded in the upper parts and up to 25 mm long and 10 mm wide.

About three pairs of leaves grow on a branch. Old leaves tend to persist (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Smith, et al, 1998; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; https://www.worldfloraonline.org).
