The solitary, stalked flowers of Odontophorus nanus grow from the gaps in leaf pairs at stem-tips. There are five unequal sepal lobes around the flower base, the inner ones having membranous margins.

The oblong petals with notched tips grow in two or three whorls around the flower centre, angled up and out when the flower is open. Flower colour varies around cream to about white and pale yellow. Numerous stamens tipped with creamy white anthers form a horizontal cluster around the flower centre, lower than the tips of the petals. There are no staminodes. The ovary is inferior and there are eight to eleven stigmas among the stamens on the inside. Nectar glands are present in the flower base. Flower size is up to 4 cm in diameter.

Flowering happens from late winter to early spring.

The flat-topped fruit capsules have eight to eleven locules covered by flat valves (Frandsen, 2017; Williamson, 2010; Van Jaarsveld, et al, 2006; iNaturalist; https://llifle.com).
