    The yellow-green, grey-green or blue-green leaves of Amphibolia laevis are club-shaped, between rounded and triangular in cross-section, always thickly succulent. Leaf dimensions are about 1 cm long and half that in width. 

    Leaves grow in equal, opposite pairs perpendicular to the previous pair, an arrangement called decussate. Internodes are sometimes short and concealed by the leaves as here, longer and visible on other plants of the species.

    Old leaves tend to persist on the plants for long (Le Roux, et al, 2005; Smith, et al, 1998; iNaturalist).
