The pale green leaves of Cyrtorchis arcuata are strap-shaped, growing alternately in two opposite, vertical arrays, compactly sheathing the stem. The leaf tip is notched or rounded into two unequal lobes. Leaves curve in from their margins that are entire. Leaf texture is stiff and leathery to thickly fleshy. Leaf dimensions are from 11 cm to 16 cm long by 2,5 cm to 3 cm wide.

Some parts of C. arcuata plants are used to make love potions by some of the hopeful and uninformed, inflicted upon the innocent and unsuspecting (Liltved and Johnson, 2012; Pooley, 1998; www.zimbabweflora.co.zw).
