Liparia splendens leaves

The simple leaves of Liparia splendens are alternate and sessile (stalkless) or stem-clutching. There are small stipules at the leaf base. The leaf-shape is elliptic to ovate, the tips tapering gradually to acutely pointed and sharpish tips. The margins are entire, sometimes yellowish to cream. The leaves are about 4 cm long.

The blades are hairless, smooth and blue-grey to grey-green, yellow-green seen on newest leaves sometimes at the base and on the stems. Two veins curve beside the midrib from the base along the margins, becoming obscure near the tips. Faint additional ones are sometimes visible.
