Manochlamys albicans flowers

The tiny, pale yellow (sometimes reddish) flowers of Manochlamys albicans grow in fleshy, erect spikes from stem-tips. The flowers are unisexual.

The male ones have five ovate petals and five stamens that are exserted from the perianths. The female flowers bear three or four minute petals and two bracts that later cover the fruit.
