Phygelius capensis bears pink, orange or yellow tubular flowers in erect panicles. The corolla tubes are from 3 cm to 4 cm long. The corolla mouths are oblique, not so in picture, raising the question of whether this may be the other species, P. aequalis. There is also natural hybridising of the species with distribution ranges overlapping in the Drakensberg (Manning, 2009; Joffe, 2001; iNaturalist).
