The pinnate leaves of Psoralea pinnata are clustered at stem-tips. Each leaf has seven to eleven almost thread-like, slender leaflets that include a terminal leaflet. The dark green leaflets have small stipules at the petiole bases and scattered small, black dots on their surfaces. Leaflets are up to 5 mm long. The leaves are aromatic, notably so when crushed (Marais, et al, 2017; Manning, 2007; Bean and Johns, 2005; Coates Palgrave, 2002; Pooley, 1993; iNaturalist; http://pza.sanbi.org).
