Otholobium bracteolatum, commonly known as the strand dottypea, in Afrikaans the swawelbos (sulphur bush) and previously scientifically as Psoralea bracteolata, is a deep-rooted, multistemmed, sprawling shrub of the Fabaceae family reaching about 2 m in height.

The species distribution is coastal in the Western Cape from Saldanha to the Eastern Cape as far as Makhanda.

The habitat is coastal strandveld and limestone slopes. The habitat population is deemed of least concern early in the twenty first century (Privett, 2022; Privett and Lutzeyer, 2010; Manning, 2007; Leistner, (Ed.), 2000; iNaturalist; https://pza.sanbi.org; http://redlist.sanbi.org).
