The pink tinge that may occur in the early stages on Syncarpha paniculata flowerheads is still present here. The pointed involucral bracts in the outer rows have started spreading, regularly overlapping and mathematically precise in bract length and acutely angled tips.
The tiny florets will be exposed soon, eye-catching in the yellow, and later brown central discs, compactly together and in large numbers when all the bracts are spread widely (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; iNaturalist).
