The fruit of Triumfetta sonderi is globose, densely covered in long, rigid bristles, pinkish purple in colour. Many fruits cover the upper branches of the plant in picture among some flowers of which only the sepals are still present.
This plant was seen on a rocky slope in Pretoria during January (Van Wyk and Malan, 1997; Germishuizen and Fabian, 1982; Letty, 1962).
