Ruttyruspolia Phyllis van Heerden leaves

The simple leaves of Ruttyruspolia Phyllis van Heerden are opposite on long stalks. The leaf shape is ovate; the tips taper, the bases rounded to tapering. The leaves may turn yellow in autumn.

The softly textured and hairless green leaves are paler on their lower surfaces than above. Four to six lateral veins ascend on either side of the midrib to the margins and curve in; not opposite in pairs. Some net-veining is also visible, all the venation slightly recessed on the upper surfaces.
